We are seeking a talented Application Designer (UX/UI) to lead the end-to-end design of digital applications. This role is responsible for translating user needs and business requirements into intuitive, accessible, and visually consistent digital experiences. You will work across the full design lifecycle — from user research and concept development through to final interface design and implementation support — applying best-practice UX/UI methodologies to deliver high-quality, user-centred solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for digital applications, from discovery to delivery
  • Conduct user research, journey mapping, and usability analysis to inform design decisions
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
  • Ensure applications are user-centred, accessible, and inclusive, following recognised accessibility standards
  • Maintain visual consistency across applications through design systems and style guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, and stakeholders
  • Translate business and functional requirements into clear, intuitive user experiences
  • Provide design support during development and implementation, ensuring design intent is maintained
  • Continuously evaluate and improve designs based on user feedback and testing

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in UX/UI or application design
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., "WCAG")
  • Experience working with design systems and style guides
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in Agile or product-based environments
  • Understanding of front-end development constraints
  • Experience supporting design through to implementation and delivery
