This is an incredibly rewarding role where you'll build meaningful relationships, provide reassurance to clients and their families, and make a genuine difference every day.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Live-in Carer, you'll live in the client's home during your placement, providing personalised support that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing. Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care with dignity and respect
- Assisting with medication prompts or administration (where trained)
- Preparing nutritious meals and encouraging hydration
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Supporting clients with daily routines and maintaining independence
- Light household duties, including cleaning, laundry and shopping
- Accompanying clients to appointments or social activities
- Keeping accurate daily care records using digital care systems
- Communicating effectively with families and the wider care team
What We're Looking For
We're looking for caring, reliable individuals who are passionate about helping others. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a care or support role (live-in experience is desirable but not essential)
- A compassionate, patient and professional approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and adapt to individual client needs
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Flexibility to work across the South West
- A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
- The right to work in the UK
