What You'll Be Doing

As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll provide high-quality care and support to people living in their own homes and within the community. We are looking for both Day and Night staff across Cornwall. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing compassionate personal care while promoting dignity, choice and independence
  • Supporting individuals with daily living activities and encouraging independence
  • Assisting with medication administration (where trained and competent)
  • Supporting individuals with mobility, transfers and rehabilitation programmes
  • Delivering delegated clinical interventions (where trained), including PEG feeding, catheter care, stoma care, tracheostomy care and ventilation support
  • Providing emotional support and meaningful companionship
  • Preparing meals and supporting nutrition and hydration
  • Accompanying individuals to appointments, education, work or community activities
  • Supporting positive behaviour and person-centred care plans
  • Accurately recording care delivered using digital care systems
  • Working closely with families, Case Managers, Community Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Recognising changes in an individual's condition and escalating concerns appropriately.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for caring, reliable and professional Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about making a genuine difference in people's lives and being part of something special from the start. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working in health and social care (community, residential, nursing or complex care)
  • A caring, compassionate and person-centred approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • A flexible approach to working a variety of day, night and weekend shifts
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to community-based work)
  • The right to work in the UK
