We are looking for experienced analog design engineers to expand their IP portfolio. Are you constantly required to develop the same block again and again? Are you ready to create re-usable blocks plus also developing new IP blocks and architectures? Would you like to have an opportunity to expand your design experience? Are you motivated by success and seeing your work on silicon? We offer you the opportunity to grow and develop your skills.

Be coached by expert analog design engineers. Have an opportunity to develop multiple Analog IP cores in all areas, but especially Data Conversion IP and Security. Gain experience on multiple process nodes, including some of the most advanced processes available. Collaborate with customers to define and build analog subsystems within advanced SoCs.

Agile Analog is revolutionising the way Analog circuits are designed. We are developing a process agnostic design methodology that uses automation to accelerate the generation of circuits and IP for our customers. Using our innovative technology, we have the proven capability to design circuits faster, to a higher quality, and on any silicon process. Based in Cambridge with a fantastic new managed office, we are also one of the few companies continuing to embrace the flexibility of hybrid and remote working. Should you not be local to Cambridge, or remote working appeals, feel free to apply. (Please note we are only currently accepting applications from those who already have the right to work in the UK).

We are disrupting methodologies that have been unchanged for decades. So if you think a little differently, want to work in an environment where you can work on multiple projects and use your knowledge to push ideas forward, then we would love to hear from you.

What you will be doing: As a key member of the Product Delivery team, you will be responsible for the design and sign-off of IP to customer specifications. In some instances, this will involve full IP design from the ground up; in other instances, it could involve using generic IP delivered to you internally and modifying it to meet customer specifications. You will be collaborating with other teams internally to achieve seamless integration to cost and timescale. You will also be driving design reviews, providing technical mentorship, and guiding junior engineers. Driving ongoing change in terms of definition and implementation of design methodologies to improve efficiency and quality, and supporting product characterization, debugging, and failure analysis as required.

What we need from you: Self-sufficient and confident/proficient in tool usage and design fundamentals. Strong IP level system and transistor level design experience of mid to high complexity IPs. For example… SAR ADCs, Sigma-delta ADCs, PLLs, BGs, LDOs, POR, low spec DAC, ADCs, etc. Ability to provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers. Ability to support quality procedures across all analogue design disciplines. Design experience in low geometry CMOS processes. Must include 40 / 28 / 22 / 16 / 12nm. Nice to have 7nm and lower design experience. Mathematical approach to design tasks. Confident in customer-facing meetings and communications.

What we offer in return: As well as the opportunity to really play a pivotal part in our success, we offer: A friendly, supportive, and inclusive working environment. Flexible work hours to fit around your personal commitments. Hybrid and remote working. Professional development and professional society membership. Company share options. 25 days’ annual leave with the option to purchase additional days. Company pension scheme (with a salary sacrifice option). Private health insurance (including optical and dental cover). Life Assurance. Cycle-to-work scheme. Employee Assistance Programme – free wellbeing and health services.

If the above role matches your experience, skills, and motivations, then we would love to hear from you.
