A Bit About The Role… AGI is hiring an enthusiastic and motivated stores assistant to join our Scientific Glassblowing team in Sutton near Ely where you will support the efficient day‑to‑day operations of stores. Precise, high-quality work is essential to maintain AGI’s reputation for delivering high standards and every employee is responsible for helping us continually improve our products and processes. The role involves working closely with both the Stock Controller and the Head of Glassblowing to efficiently fulfil our customer order demand.
Responsibilities include highly organized management of goods movement, packing and dispatch of our specialized glassware, whilst ensuring accuracy of our stock holding, providing timely support to the production team, and maintaining a safe and efficient stores environment. It is anticipated that the job will be performed over 5 days (Mon-Fri) with a total of 25 hours per week.

Requirements
Whilst previous experience of stock control, material handling or order fulfilment is desirable; aptitude, a strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude is an essential requirement. As this role is a key part of our service delivery, your commitment and engagement is a necessity at all times. Some computer-based work is involved, so a moderate understanding of Microsoft applications (word, excel, outlook) is an important skill. On the job training will be provided on all elements of this role including use of our MRP system, for those who can demonstrate the aptitude and values needed.
