About the role:

  • Availability Window: Sun: 10:00‑21:00, Tue: 12:00‑17:00, Fri: 14:00‑23:00, Sat: 14:00‑23:00
  • Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25.
  • We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with the option to work fewer hours (minimum 12).
  • You will be scheduled within the availability windows and receive three weeks’ notice of exact shift times.
  • Customers are at the heart of everything we do. It takes lots of different people to run a store and this is a job for doers, with plenty of variety.

Responsibilities:

  • Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
  • Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
  • Apply training received to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
  • Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet their needs at the right time.
  • Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand your store’s performance, drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in best condition.

  • Accept deliveries into the store when required.
