An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Horticulturist, with a passion for training and inspiring young people. As a Resource Technician, you will support the Practical Instructor/s, teaching staff and students across all courses within the College's specialist Horticulture programs.

You will also assist with the maintenance of the college's horticultural facilities including the poly tunnel and practice areas, ensuring the high standards of horticultural practice are maintained within the areas of planting. You will assist with the maintenance, demonstration and use of practical equipment and machinery.

The ideal candidate will have a range of industry skills including the ability to operate, maintain and repair horticultural machinery with some experience working in the training/education sector. A Level 2 qualification in horticulture is expected, and a PA1/PA6 Certificate is desirable.

The candidate is expected to be able to work well within a small team and independently when needed. Good time management and the ability to prioritise and organise will be essential. At certain times within the year, there may be the need to support the Practical Instructor team at other campuses, so a willingness to travel is required.

This is a part-time role working 7.2 hours per week. The actual salary is £5,900.40 - £6,031.40.
