About the role

Join Kids Planet Mereside Farm as an Early Years Apprentice. You will be enrolled in a training programme through the Kids Planet Training Academy to gain a qualification in Early Years.

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to support, care for, and inspire children during their earliest years, from birth to age five.
  • Learn how to ensure the safeguarding of children in your care.
  • Work as part of a successful team.
  • Build warm, trusting relationships with families through kind, open communication.
  • Liaise with parents on matters relating to the most important person in their world.

Qualifications

  • Meet minimum apprenticeship eligibility criteria, including having lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Pass maths and English entry assessments.

Training duration

As a guide, Level 2 apprenticeships take approximately 15 months to complete, and Level 3 apprenticeships take approximately 18 months to complete.

Safeguarding and training

Kids Planet is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the well‑being of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role. All staff are required to complete regular safeguarding training and a Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is mandatory.
