Why join us?

About Us

You’ll be joining a small, farm-only team supported by experienced ATTs and vet techs, based at our Callington branch close to both stunning coastline and moorland. We work with a diverse and progressive client base across dairy, beef and sheep farms, and we’re passionate about building strong client relationships through regular training meetings and involvement in local and national initiatives. We’re proud to foster a team culture where people feel supported, ideas and interests are encouraged, and everyone works collaboratively to provide the best care possible.

About the Role

We’re ideally looking for a full-time vet, but we’re very open to discussing flexible working arrangements for the right person. Typical working hours are 8.30am-5pm, with a half day following a night on call and a full TOIL day following a worked weekend. Combined with a generous holiday allowance, there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy everything Cornwall has to offer. Our rota is made significantly easier thanks to our dedicated out-of-hours vet, who covers around half of the out-of-hours work. The remaining rota is shared evenly across the team, working out at approximately 1:5 for 10 months of the year. The role includes all aspects of progressive farm veterinary work across dairy, beef and sheep farms, with opportunities to develop and pursue individual areas of interest. Our experienced ATT team also helps minimise TB testing commitments, allowing vets to focus more on clinical and advisory work.

Benefits
  • 6.6 weeks paid holiday including bank holidays, with the option to buy and sell leave
  • £1,750 CPD allowance for vets
  • £2,500 CPD allowance for advanced qualifications
  • RCVS membership plus two additional memberships paid
  • VDS cover
  • Free membership at a local Country Club (after probation)

  • Discounted veterinary fees
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Company sick pay (after probation)
  • Annual pay reviews
  • Employee wellbeing focus
  • Career progression and training opportunities within VetPartners
