We are currently looking for a Press and Crop Operative to join our busy Wet Finishing department. In this role, you will be trained to become skilled in the finishing of the luxurious cloths that become our products. This is a full-time, permanent post working 38 hours per week on a 2-shift rotation (early and late). Rate of pay for this role is £13.45 per hour, along with shift pay allowance.

About the Role

  • Operate and monitor machinery that washes and processes cloth, transforming it from raw and greasy to clean, soft, and ready for further production stages.
  • Operating and patrolling wet finishing machinery, including Pinwheel and Vapourdec machines.
  • Monitoring cloth quality throughout the finishing process.
  • Handling materials safely and in line with operating procedures.
  • Learning multiple machines and processes over time (up to 15 machines and 27 processes).
  • Working as part of a team to meet production and quality standards.

Full training will be provided.

  • Have the ability to carefully and accurately follow verbal and detailed written instructions.
