Remuneration: starting 94,772.16 inclusive of 12% super (dependent on qualifications)

About The Role

As Teacher Horticulture you will deliver high-quality vocational education and training across horticulture programs, supporting students to develop practical, job-ready skills aligned to industry standards. The role involves classroom and practical delivery, assessment, student support, and contribution to continuous improvement and industry engagement.

You will be:

  • Developing and delivering engaging, customised learning experiences under Certificate II in Horticulture & Certificate III in Horticulture
  • Supporting learners to build confidence and competence in literacy and numeracy
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress, assessments, and compliance documentation
  • Creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
  • Ensuring compliance with national VET quality standards and BKI policies

  • Horticulture qualifications
  • Completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Relevant experience in teaching horticulture
  • Experience delivering training in adult education or vocational settings (beneficial)
  • Effective communication skills for working in correctional settings

  • Commitment to safety, inclusion, and learner success
