Bring your energy to Aggreko as an electrical installation apprentice. You’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside skilled electrical engineers, installing, testing and commissioning all our electrical and energy systems for clients in events, entertainment, and theatre, while developing essential electrical and safety skills.
What You’ll Learn And Do
As an Aggreko apprentice, no two days are the same. Each day begins with a team briefing focused on safety and priorities. You’ll then work closely with a senior events engineer on a wide range of tasks onsite at our customers' events – from equipment testing and preparation to electrical servicing and fault diagnosis. Throughout, you’ll build practical skills with hands-on support and guidance, always working safely to keep everyone safe.
- Assist with installation and commissioning across multiple electrical disciplines: containment systems, wiring, termination, and commissioning.
- Work alongside our events specialists to ensure safety and accurate documentation at venues.
- Develop your knowledge and confidence using a range of hand tools.
- Work safely to keep everyone safe.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver excellent service and contribute to key events.
- Use IT tools like laptops and mobile devices to support your work.
- Balance practical work experience with college study towards a Level 3 Electrical Installation Maintenance Technician qualification.
Program Overview
- Field based with National and International Travel.
- Day release to Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College, Uxbridge Campus (UB8 1NQ).
- End Qualification: Level 3, Installation and maintenance electrician.
- Duration: 4 years.
- Starting salary: £18,720.
- Start date: ASAP.
