We’re looking for a Finance Analyst to work within the Commercial Finance team in Lomondgate. This is a key role within the Finance department and is responsible for providing financial support to the Product Management, Engineering (PME) & Commercial teams.
As a Finance Analyst you will contribute to accurate financial reporting and provide valuable data analysis. You will also build on the current procedures in place to identify efficiencies.This role is stakeholder focused, and you will have the opportunity to influence change in the business unit that you are a part of, adding value and building relationships within and out with finance.

What you’ll do:
- Support the Finance Business Partner by playing a key role in the delivery of month end, quarterly forecasts and annual budget for PME and Commercial functions.
- Collate individual P&L Statements to report and explain financial performance
- Provide valuable data analysis to contribute to accurate financial reporting, and work with the team to drive improvements
- Work with the budget owners to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Monitor and challenge costs to ensure all costs are complete and coded accurately.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide monthly variance analysis vs budget and forecast.
- Identify efficiencies and build improvements to existing financial processes and reports
- Preparation of R&D data.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
- Ideally looking for a newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in a similar role or industry.
- Ability to analyse large data sets and challenge data when appropriate.
- Ability to take ownership for areas of the month end process including some transactional tasks and cost investigation.
- Excellent spreadsheet/systems interrogation skills.
- Growth mindset: adaptability, persistence and a passion for embracing new challenges.
- Good technical accounting knowledge.
- Experience of M3 Cloudsuite, Tagetik and Basware would be advantageous but not essential.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines.
