Bring your energy to Aggreko as Project Engineer, based in the UK (with travel to customer sites). The role may need to work offshore from time to time approx 2 -3 occasions a week at a time. You’ll support the design, build and delivery of engineered solutions across a wide range of UK projects, working closely with our Design and Project Delivery teams to turn concepts into operational installations.

What you’ll do as Project Engineer:

  • Lead the initial technical scoping of customer projects, developing solutions in partnership with Design Engineers and the wider Project Delivery Team.
  • Translate customer requirements into engineering plans, drawings and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry codes and internal standards.
  • Support build activities in the workshop before mobilisation, then oversee installation, commissioning and handover on customer sites.
  • Provide hands-on support with electro-mechanical equipment, controls, and BMS systems, including troubleshooting during installation phases.
  • Deliver projects across the full lifecycle while ensuring safety, quality, and engineering best practice throughout.

You are:

  • Experienced in electro‑mechanical engineering, ideally with exposure to chillers, cooling equipment, HVAC, or related industrial/rental sectors.
  • Familiar with BMS, controls logic, and interpreting code/industry standards.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid role: around 30% desk‑based, 30% workshop, 40% site-based.
  • Flexible and willing to travel, including spending 2–6 week periods on project sites across the UK.
  • Qualified through a degree (Mechanical/Electrical) or a vocational route such as NVQ/HNC/HND, with strong practical engineering capability.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • The opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact UK projects with a supportive and collaborative team.
  • Access to specialist training and development tailored to engineering and project delivery roles.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits and annual leave package, plus opportunities for progression within Project Delivery or Engineering.
  • The chance to build expertise across design, controls, commissioning, and site engineering — with genuine career growth.
