What you’ll do as Technical Engineering Lead:

  • Lead and provide professional engineering design input for new and existing generator products, improving performance, efficiency, manufacturability, reliability, safety and total cost of ownership.
  • Define system test and validation strategies, approve development test results, and ensure compliance with applicable legislative and safety standards.
  • Own the technical delivery of designs, including creation and release of accurate Bills of Material, component specifications, and support to efficient supply and assembly that align with product requirements.
  • Lead design reviews, engage suppliers on technology and component selection, and develop novel, differentiated product concepts that meet Aggreko’s modular mobile product format.

You are:

  • An experienced technical lead with a proven track record of developing gas or diesel reciprocating generator packages within a commercially demanding manufacturing environment.
  • Highly proficient in the use of computer-aided engineering tools, including 3D CAD, thermal calculations, 1D flow analysis, FEA and CFD.
  • A systems thinker who understands how design decisions impact performance, safety, reliability, maintainability and cost across the full product lifecycle.
  • A confident leader who can work under pressure, identify critical risks early, and deliver high-quality outcomes to tight timescales.

A degree-qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with strong industrial experience in the design of complex engineered products; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
