The Opportunity We're looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Category Manager to oversee our Energy, Fuel and Bitumen category. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable sourcing strategies, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies based on spend analysis, market insights, and supplier relationships.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including tendering, negotiation, and contract implementation.
- Drive supplier consolidation, cost optimisation, and ensure sustainable and ethical sourcing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement with business objectives and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contracts and KPIs.
- Support budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead tendering processes, supplier selection, and contract management with clear communication.
- Drive annual plans to create added value and achieve department/business objectives.
