The Opportunity

We\’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Category Manager to oversee our Energy, Fuel and Bitumen category. In this role, you\’ll be responsible for driving efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable sourcing strategies, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute category strategies based on spend analysis, market insights, and supplier relationships.
  2. Manage end-to-end procurement processes including tendering, negotiation, and contract implementation.
  3. Drive supplier consolidation, cost optimisation, and ensure sustainable and ethical sourcing.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement with business objectives and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
  5. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  6. Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contracts and KPIs.
  7. Support budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Lead tendering processes, supplier selection, and contract management with clear communication.
  9. Drive annual plans to create added value and achieve department/business objectives.
