The Opportunity. We now have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Manager at our Asphalt Plant at Nunney, Frome. This would be a great opportunity for either an existing Assistant Manager or a Team Leader/Supervisor looking to take your next step in your career. With the support of Senior Management both onsite and regionally, you’ll lead a team of Operatives and a Supervisor across this 24/5 Manufacturing plant. Helping support Health & Safety and production output, you’ll take the lead on workforce availability through holiday approval, overtime allowances, and shift cover.
As a small team onsite (10 workforce), you’ll have a real opportunity to shape the way the plant is operated. You’ll be a key decision maker for day-to-day operational needs as well as the strategic future of the Plant, giving you growth opportunities and to develop your career as a successor for the Plant Manager.
Who you are. You’ll be a confident decision maker, able to make choices and take ownership of your actions. You’ll have experience leading a team in a technical production environment. We’re a health & safety focused business, and you should be too. You’ll ideally have an existing H&S qualification or be keen to develop your professional qualifications in this area. You’ll take pride in your organisational ability, able to work across several projects/tasks simultaneously.
