Weve got an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our Surfacing Business.This role gives you the chance to work on high-impact projects, including long-term frameworks and multi-million-pound highways projects. In this role, you wont just be dealing with figuresyoull play a key role in the financial management of some of our most ambitious projects. Youll get hands-on experience in cost management and estimation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Its the perfect opportunity to build your skills and make your mark on the industry! You\’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our projects meet the highest quality, safety, and environmental standards. You\’ll be responsible for putting together detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts. This means youll have a direct hand in planning the financial side of our projects. Whether it\’s getting measurements on-site or analysing drawings, your expertise will ensure were accurate and precise in everything we do. You\’ll help us identify potential risks and figure out the best ways to manage them, ensuring we stay ahead of any challenges. You\’ll be key in keeping an eye on the costs of maintenance and repair work, making sure we stick to our budgets. At the end of each month, youll prepare profit and loss statements that give us a clear picture of where we stand financially. Youll also manage our subcontractors, making sure their payments are processed smoothly and on time. Who You Are: You take pride in your attention to detail, never missing a beat when reviewing contracts or cost estimates. With your experience in project management, youre already familiar with the intricacies of budget planning and cost control. You have a knack for spotting potential issues before they become problems and enjoy coming up with innovative solutions. Your excellent communication skills make it easy for you to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.
