Role and Location
As a Business Development Manager (BDM) with Key Account (KA) responsibilities for Agfa Radiology Solutions, you will focus 30% of your time on nurturing and expanding relationships with existing customers, and 70% on prospecting and building a strong sales pipeline across London and the South of England. Your role is crucial in driving market growth, achieving sales targets, and strengthening Agfa’s presence in the region by engaging key hospital stakeholders. You’ll be part of a dynamic UK & Ireland team, contributing to the continued success of Agfa’s innovative Digital Radiology X-ray portfolio.

What You\’ll Do:
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and develop strategies to approach them.
- Lead generation and qualification. Generate leads through networking, industry events, and digital channels, and qualify them to ensure they align with the company\’s target market.
- Develop and execute strategic plans. Create and implement plans to drive sales growth and expand market presence.
Key Account Management:
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts: Build strong, long-term relationships with key clients to ensure sustained business growth.
- Develop strategic plans for key accounts: Tailor strategies to meet the specific needs and goals of key accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor and analyse account performance: Regularly review account performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.
- Prepare and deliver compelling customer-facing sales presentations.
- Create and present proposals that effectively communicate the value of Agfa Radiology Solutions.
- Negotiate and close deals. Handle contract negotiations and close deals to secure new business.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams. Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive approach to business development.
- Ensure Positive Customer Experience. Address client needs and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Market Analysis and Competitor Monitoring:
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities. Stay updated on industry developments and competitor strategies to identify opportunities and threats.
- Provide insights and recommendations. Use market analysis to inform strategic decisions and provide recommendations to senior management.
Who You Are:
- Degree in Science, Business, Marketing, or Radiography/Imaging
- 3–5 years in healthcare imaging or medical device sales
- Preferably in radiology/capital equipment
- Strong hospital network and strategic selling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven sales success and pipeline management
