The Agfa-Gevaert Group develops, produces and distributes an extensive range of imaging systems and IT solutions, mainly for the printing industry and the healthcare sector, as well as for specific industrial applications. Agfa Radiology Solutions is a leading global provider of advanced imaging and healthcare IT solutions, specializing in digital radiography and medical imaging systems. The company develops and supplies high-quality products for hospitals and healthcare facilities, including digital X-ray systems, imaging software, and integrated radiology solutions. With a strong focus on innovation and patient care, Agfa Radiology Solutions enhances diagnostic workflows and enables improved clinical outcomes through its cutting-edge technology and services.

As our new BDM with KA responsibilities, you will spend 30% of your time nurturing and growing existing Agfa customer accounts and 70% of your time prospecting and building your healthy pipeline funnel, for Agfa Radiology Solutions across London and the North of England. Your role is pivotal in expanding Agfa Radiology Solutions market presence, achieving sales targets, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders within hospitals on your territory. You will be a key member of an experienced and dynamic team in the UK & Ireland, contributing and collaborating towards the region's continued growth and success of our Radiology Solutions innovative Digital Radiology X-ray portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities; conduct market research to identify potential clients and develop strategies to approach them; lead generation and qualification; generate leads through networking, industry events, and digital channels, and qualify them to ensure they align with the company's target market; develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Key Account Management: Manage and grow relationships with key accounts; build strong, long-term relationships with key clients to ensure sustained business growth; develop strategic plans for key accounts; tailor strategies to meet the specific needs and goals of key accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty; monitor and analyse account performance.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs; prepare and deliver compelling customer-facing sales presentations; create and present proposals that effectively communicate the value of Agfa Radiology Solutions; negotiate and close deals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams; work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive approach to business development; address client needs and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis and Competitor Monitoring: Monitor market trends and competitor activities; stay updated on industry developments and competitor strategies to identify opportunities and threats; use market analysis to inform strategic decisions and provide recommendations to senior management.

Required Profile:

  • Education: Degree level in Science, Business, Marketing, or a radiography/imaging related field or background.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in sales and business development in the healthcare imaging equipment or medical device capital equipment; preferable experience in Radiology solutions and/or capital equipment; strong network within hospitals and relevant departments within the territory; proficient in strategic selling concepts and/or comparable sales processes and tools; experienced with planning and developing complex business cases within budget limitations; able to maintain a high level of quality in a continually changing environment; able to work on multiple tasks and organize time effectively to achieve goals and objectives; analytical mind and solid process orientation; entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for customers; willing to travel up to 70% of time prospecting and developing new business opportunities.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills (written and oral); excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets; experience with CRM software and sales performance tools; strong consultative selling, solution development, negotiation and closing skills; proficient in building and management of a healthy pipeline funnel; demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales plans; high level of integrity and professionalism.
