By leveraging AI and home data, we’re redefining how homes are managed — turning a traditionally reactive, manual process into a proactive, intelligent experience.

With a £560bn+ property services market in the UK alone, we are building the foundation for a scalable, AI-native platform that will transform home management. The Role: We are hiring our first Field Operations Manager to oversee our in-house trades team in London. Reporting to the UK General Manager, you will own the performance, coordination and efficiency of our trades team — ensuring jobs are delivered to the highest standard. You will directly manage the trades team, building a professional, accountable culture and serving as the key link between the field and the wider business.

You will be key to our day-to-day field operations, overseeing team scheduling, supporting job quoting, managing materials and fleet readiness, providing on-job support and acting as the primary escalation point for operational issues. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation alongside a practical understanding of residential repair and maintenance work. You should be comfortable discussing job approaches with tradespeople, sense-checking materials requirements, and contributing to realistic delivery plans. While much of the role is desk-based planning and coordination, you will be expected to regularly spend time on-site — supporting trades, quoting, resolving issues and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Line manage the in-house trades team, fostering a professional, accountable culture
  • Own daily and weekly scheduling, optimising job allocation to maximise utilisation and minimise inefficiencies
  • Provide operational oversight and act as the escalation point for issues arising during jobs
  • Act as the representative of the trades team within the organisation, ensuring clear communication and aligned priorities
  • Review job scopes, provide practical input on approach and materials, and support accurate quoting for larger or more complex works
  • Oversee materials procurement
  • Ensure accurate timesheet reporting
  • Finalise job costs and support invoice approval prior to billing
  • Maintain high quality standards across completed works through regular field engagement
  • Ensure vans, tools and workwear are maintained and operationally ready
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in a trade or residential maintenance environment
  • Experience in an operational, supervisory or team management role within a field-based setting
  • Practical understanding of residential repair and improvement works
  • Experience with scheduling, workforce planning or job allocation
  • Comfortable tracking time, materials and job costs
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive environment with frequent context switching
  • Calm and solutions-focused under pressure, with the ability to maintain team confidence when issues arise
  • Motivated to build a high-performing, accountable team culture
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London

Location: Hybrid London-based, with 3 days in-office (Central/East London)
