As a Technical Engineer you will support our clients by delivering exceptional on‑site service during reactive callouts. In this role, you will take ownership of resolving issues across our expanding estate, including restoring functionality to ANPR cameras, CCTV systems, payment machines, tablet kiosks, and replacing damaged signage where required.
Duties
- Attend field sites to diagnose and resolve technical faults, ensuring the timely reactivation of offline and disabled sites.
- Carry out hands‑on fault finding and troubleshooting on ANPR cameras, CCTV systems, payment machines, tablet kiosks, and associated site equipment.
- Complete on‑site repairs, replacements, and basic installations to restore full site functionality.
- Act as the on‑site technical representative, liaising with the Account Manager, Service Delivery Manager, and Technical Support team to confirm resolution requirements.
- Work to agreed service levels and KPIs, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and within target timescales.
- Support the Disabled Sites Taskforce by taking responsibility for assigned site reactivations and completing required field actions.
- Install, replace, and verify signage at damaged or non‑compliant locations in line with company standards.
- Deliver a professional, courteous, and customer‑focused service during all site visits.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of workmanship and quality.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, safe working practices, and operational guidelines.
- Accurately record job details, fault findings, actions taken, and outcomes in the company scheduling and reporting system.
Who You Are
- Have electrical site experience installing/maintaining ANPR and Paid Parking machine installations.
- Have experience with root cause analysis amongst technical equipment and methods/experience in fault finding in order to resolve.
- Able to work as a lone worker and follow survey installation documents.
- Have customer service and client facing skills to communicate to our stakeholders.
- Ability to cope well under pressure, can multitask and can adapt to changing circumstances.
- Have a full UK manual driving licence with less than 6 points.
- A safe and careful driver who will maintain eligibility to drive under the company’s insurance policy.
