Agemo is a team of AI researchers, product experts, and serial hackathon winners who care deeply about building a new category for automation. We’re pioneering a future where automation is accessible to everyone. We launched CodeWords, an all-in-one platform where you create automations simply by chatting with AI.
Agemo is a research and product company defining the frontier of workflow automation. We started our journey by working on AI reasoning in 2024 to understand how to engineer an AI system able to generate and orchestrate backend systems. That research led to building solutions for the ARC-AGI benchmark alongside François Chollet (inventor of Keras) and Mike Knoop (co-founder of Zapier), and we were featured in the ARC Prize report.
While creating frontend UIs by chatting is becoming ubiquitous, there still aren’t solutions to create automations for non-technical people. Instead, these users are either stuck with visual no-code builders or left to perform the same tasks manually. Our aim is to fundamentally change how automations are created, deployed, and scaled: from ideation to automation, in minutes. What would require technical teams and automation experts can now be accomplished by individuals for their small business or business function.
In September 2025, we launched CodeWords, an all-in-one platform for non-technical people to create automations by chatting with AI. Our mission is to democratize automation for everyone so that people can eliminate busywork, 10x their output, bring clarity to chaos, and focus on what matters. CodeWords does this by being AI and chat-native. The barrier to entry is lowered, while the ceiling of what can be built rises.
We’re redefining the workflow automation category, and we believe the next evolution will empower anyone to build automations and improve with more usage. We’re just getting started. If you want to build the future, make an impact, and do your best work, we would love to hear from you.
You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the platform infrastructure that supports our core intelligence and product. You’ll work closely with the engineering team to enable seamless CI/CD, product launches, reduce bottlenecks, and improve deployment pipelines. You’ll sit at the intersection of platform engineering and agentic systems to lead initiatives to scale CodeWords’ infrastructure for experimentation and personalization. This is the perfect individual contributor role for someone looking to build the backbone of novel agentic experiences.
Core responsibilities
- Kubernetes & Container Orchestration (60%): manage, design and implement new microservices using FastAPI and Docker. Optimize pod autoscaling, resource limits and cluster performance.
- DevOps & CI/CD (20%): Maintain and improve GitHub Actions workflows (100+ automated workflows). Manage deployment pipelines for microservices and templates. Provision and manage AWS infrastructure (EKS, VPC, S3, RDS, etc.) with Terraform.
- Backend Services & APIs (15%): Build and maintain Python microservices (FastAPI, Pydantic, uvicorn, asyncio). Design RESTful APIs and tRPC endpoints. Implement observability and structured logging (structlog, Sentry).
- Frontend Integration (5%): Integrate with Next.js 15 frontend (TypeScript, React, tRPC). Ensure seamless API contracts between backend and frontend.
Requirements
You might be a good fit if you:
- have strong Kubernetes expertise (AWS EKS, ArgoCD, Kustomize, Helm) and frontend experience (Next.js, TypeScript)
- have deep understanding of Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress
- have experience with pod autoscaling (HPA/VPA) and resource optimization
- can think in systems, from container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines to API design and frontend integration
- have experience with Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, understanding of AWS services (EKS, S3, RDS, ECR, IAM)
- enjoy wearing multiple hats, are results-oriented and can move fast with competing deadlines and loosely defined priorities
- are a self-starter and work autonomously from day one, prioritizing impact and learning.
We do not require a specific university degree or years of experience. What we care about and are excited by is what you’ve built.
Where we work
We work in a hybrid model where we meet in the office a few days a week on a flexible basis. We are currently hiring people who can physically be in London or San Francisco, but can make exceptions for certain roles.
How we work
Beyond the collaborative, open and transparent culture we strive to foster, there are a few things we strongly value:
- Users as the compass, tech as the engine. We don’t build for demos. We build for real people. Technology is our engine, and user need is our compass. We succeed when our tech disappears behind outcomes that feel obvious, delightful, and useful.
- Big vision, small steps. We chase bold outcomes by starting with lean, testable solutions. Starting small is not a compromise. It’s a superpower that helps us learn fast and invest wisely.
- Action-biased, outcome-driven. We believe that velocity matters and that action creates clarity. Momentum is our competitive advantage, but movement alone isn’t enough. What matters is the end results. We act fast and with purpose.
- Low ego, high curiosity. We believe that the best ideas win, not the loudest voices. We approach problems with humility, ask better questions, and stay open to being wrong. This mindset drives learning, strengthens collaboration, and leads to better outcomes for our users.
What we offer
Work on hard problems in an innovative culture: You’ll be part of a generational opportunity to define the impact of AI on society, alongside a team of missionaries. Competitive base salary and meaningful equity. We want to make sure you have skin in the game. Learning and development: Agemo proactively supports professional development through an annual discretionary stipend on conferences, workshops and events. 25 days of holidays + national.
