ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Disability Support / Aged Care Worker with WellMinded Australia, you\’ll play a pivotal role in empowering individuals with disabilities and their families. You\’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional services while nurturing an inclusive environment where participants can thrive.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Providing support to individuals to achieve their goals and enhance their independence.
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, communication skills, and community involvement.
  • Transporting participants to appointments and facilitating community engagement.
  • Supporting participants to attend community group activities at our wellness centre in Gladesville
  • Maintaining transparent communication and documentation of support activities through our rostering platform ShiftCare.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We\’re looking for someone exceptional with:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards individuals.
  • Experienced in providing support to individuals with complex mental health conditions, intellectual disabilities, and aged care needs.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritise tasks.
  • Proficiency with documentation and computer skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in a related field.

WHAT IS REQUIRED

  • Current drivers license and MUST own a reliable/registered and insured vehicle
  • Clear and current: Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers\’ Check and First Aid certificate
  • Qualification relevant to the role will be well regarded
  • Three to fours days availability is a MUST
