About the role

Seeking empathetic and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join the Core Advocates\’ team in the Goldcoast, QLD. In this casual role, you will provide compassionate and personalised support to individuals living with disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their goals. With a focus on aged and disability support services, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in people\’s lives.

What you\’ll be doing

Assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, and light housekeeping and assisting clients children get ready for school.

Providing social and emotional support, organising engaging activities, and accompanying clients on outings

Advocating for client needs and collaborating with allied health professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans

Maintaining detailed client records and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures

Promoting independence, choice, and dignity in all interactions with clients

What we\’re looking for

Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of individuals living with disabilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships with clients

A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach, with a genuine commitment to making a difference in people\’s lives

Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or related certification, are highly regarded

A valid driver\’s licence, yellow and blue card and access to reliable transportation are essential
