About the role:
We have an exciting and rewarding support opportunity to share with you. Aged Care Workers are needed in the Gold Coast area. We are looking for Aged Care Support Workers that will provide high-quality care and assistance to residents in residential care. This job is perfect for individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people while enjoying the flexibility to choose shifts that suit their lifestyle. The shifts will be on an adhoc basis and may be short notice shifts the day of or day before. Shifts are on a first in first serve basis, and we are expecting a huge increase in shifts over the upcoming weeks, so we have multiple positions available.
Your key responsibilities:
- Personal Care
- Medication administration
- Domestic assistance
- Bowel Care management
- PEG management and feeds
- Cough assistance
- Full supervision of the client
- Pressure area management
- Work with the client and assist with personal care and manual handling
- Assisting and supporting the client in the home and out in the community
About you:
To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Previous Aged care experience (minimum 6 months)
- Minimum Cert III in Healthcare or other relevant qualifications
- Current accredited First aid and CPR
- Yellow card/NDIS Screening Card
- Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Right to live and work within Australia
- Valid Australian Driver's License
- NDIS worker screener check
