AgeChecked provides age verification software for online providers of age restricted goods and services. We operate a high volume web API platform used by large global clients. This role owns technical integrations and live application support across the platform. You act as the senior technical escalation point for client onboarding, API issues, and production incidents. You work closely with product, engineering, infrastructure, and client services. You also provide day to day technical oversight for two application support engineers working staggered shifts. You report into the Product Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Integration and Onboarding
- Own technical onboarding for new clients using the AgeChecked API.
- Support clients with API integration, authentication, and troubleshooting.
- Review client implementation issues and provide clear technical guidance.
- Act as the technical point of contact during onboarding and early production use.
- Application Support and Incident Ownership
- Own incoming support tickets through Monday.
- Investigate and diagnose production issues across the API platform.
- Work with engineering to resolve complex issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and document outcomes.
- System Monitoring and Reliability
- Monitor system health and performance.
- Identify risks and recurring issues impacting clients.
- Work with infrastructure and engineering on platform stability.
- Use monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch where relevant.
- Work closely with product during releases and platform changes.
- Liaise with QA to support smooth deployment into production.
- Partner with infrastructure during incidents and maintenance windows.
- Provide technical input driven by client and stakeholder feedback.
- Technical Leadership and Knowledge Sharing
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to two application support engineers.
- Support shift handovers and continuity of coverage.
- Create and maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and integration guides.
- Deliver internal system training and knowledge sharing sessions.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong experience in technical integration or application support within SaaS platforms.
- Hands on experience supporting web APIs in live production environments.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and integrations.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot C# and NodeJS code.
- Solid experience working with MySQL and data related investigations.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication.
- Strong documentation and process discipline.
- Experience working directly with external clients.
- Ability to stay effective during high pressure incidents.
Nice to Have
- Experience using Postman and MySQL Workbench.
- Experience with AWS monitoring tools such as CloudWatch.
- Exposure to high transaction or 24 by 7 platforms.
