Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician with a passion for ensuring safe and comfortable environments? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repairs and Maintenance: Carry out repairs, routine maintenance, and alterations to buildings, grounds, and fixtures.
- Problem Solving: Investigate and repair reported issues while proactively checking for other potential problems.
- Emergency Call Outs: Be available for emergency call-outs outside regular working hours (strictly for emergencies). We offer time off in lieu, including travel time.
- Health and Safety: Comply with relevant regulations and undertake all Health and Safety duties.
- Hazard Mitigation: Make areas safe until effective repairs are completed.
- Fire and Emergency Procedures: Assist with fire drills and test emergency lighting.
- Quality Assurance: Check work by other contractors and report concerns to the Operations Director.
- Planned Maintenance: Participate in planned maintenance programs and improvement projects.
- Security Checks: Regularly inspect buildings and equipment for security and respond to damage.
- Lighting and Systems: Maintain lighting, heating, and water systems across all premises.
- Equipment Safety: Ensure equipment used by staff and residents complies with safety regulations (PAT).
- Call Systems: Maintain and program call systems.
- Outdoor Areas: Keep outside areas clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
- General Maintenance: Handle litter removal, gully clearing, snow clearing, and more.
- Workshop and Storage: Maintain workshop, garage, and storage sheds.
- Item Movement: Assist with moving furniture and equipment as needed.
- Waste Disposal: Transport and dispose of household waste.
- Company Premises: Attend company premises for inspections and special functions.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional self-image at all times.
- Training and Development: Participate in training and attend staff meetings.
- Personal Tools: Provide your own hand tools and ensure their security.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
