We are looking for an experienced Nurse with a passion for enhancing the quality of life for residents and who can make a difference to their lives. Location: Muscliff Care Home. We are committed to providing a safe, secure, happy and comfortable home, promoting a high standard of care and understanding of individual needs to offer support and choice as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the care teams to ensure residents are supported to live in a safe and caring environment.
  • Conduct and record supervisions and appraisals with allocated care team members, setting and reviewing development objectives.
  • Support the ongoing development of the care team, including mentoring newly recruited colleagues and students on placement.
  • Contribute to team working, respond positively to colleagues and action reasonable work instructions promptly.
  • Attend relevant staff meetings and training as required.
  • Participate in implementing agreed clinical developments.
  • Ensure care is directed in line with regulatory guidelines and legislation.
  • Act as a contact for residents and relatives regarding clinical and care needs.
  • Monitor standards of care via observation and direct involvement; ensure high-quality nursing and personal care and that care plans are maintained.
  • Adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and report safeguarding incidents transparently.
  • Support the Home Manager in health and safety measures related to residents’ care and comfort.
  • liaise with other healthcare professionals to support residents with specialist care interventions and funding assessments.
  • Interact courteously with residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality, and maintain effective communication.
  • Monitor residents’ wellbeing and update care plans as needs change.
  • Promote positive risk-taking for residents as appropriate.
  • Ensure safe systems of work, particularly for moving and handling, with due regard for safety of residents, visitors and staff.
  • All trained nurses work in accordance with company policies and the NMC Code of Conduct.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Nursing experience: 2 years (preferred)
  • Licence/Certification: NMC Pin (preferred)
