This role is responsible for providing leadership, co-ordination and strategic direction on all aspects of ways of working across the enterprise (with an emphasis on non-customer facing teams) and will act as the conscience for the organisation around all aspects of ways of working. The role will set the vision and roadmap for evolving our ways of working and will coordinate the plan to deliver this across all of our value streams. This role is critical to the delivery of the integration and will be a key member of the IMO.
Main Responsibilities:
- Set the vision for how we evolve and improve ways of working across the organisation, a critical enabler for achieving our integration outcomes.
- Perform the product lead role on ways of working, setting the vision and north star, defining the roadmap, developing OKRs and agreeing clear priorities for the organisation to deliver on ways of working.
- Own the end-to-end delivery plan for all aspects of ways of working, including links into QBR, culture change and broader IMO dependencies (e.g. delivery of synergy benefits).
- Lead the development and implementation of our enterprise approach to develop agility, including at a UKET level, which clearly sets out expected behaviours to achieve integration.
- Develop deep relationships with key stakeholders across IMO, QBR and the Value Stream leadership teams.
- Identify, develop and embed patterns which will help move our ways of working further towards our target state.
- Act as an expert and champion around our change framework Innov8, identifying opportunities to communicate, embed and iterate this approach.
- Act as a role model and expert around target state ways of working including espousing data-driven decision making, ensuring single points of accountability, acting as a servant leader and adoption of tooling (Jira and Confluence).
- Work with our risk, assurance and audit teams to ensure we have appropriate control mechanisms in place around ways of working.
Skills and Experience:
- Prior senior leadership experience on large-scale transformation programmes with significant scale and complexity, including familiarity with Agile delivery.
- Knowledge of Jira or other similar workflow tools is essential.
- Experience of coaching and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of change, including culture change.
- Strong people leadership to create a collaborative working environment and drive successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Ability to handle complexity, ambiguity, and high pressure delivery environments.
- Ability to influence at senior levels and drive consensus.
- Strong experience in developing, producing and improving relevant management information and reports to Executive level.
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Confluence, including ability to configure and integrate with Jira content.
- An ability to manage multiple tasks and initiatives in parallel, and to agreed timeframes, without compromising quality.
