We're looking for a hands-on Technology Resilience Lead to become the go-to SME for resilience, disaster recovery and capacity management across our technology estate. Working across AWS, Azure and traditional data centre environments, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our services remain resilient, recoverable and fit for the future.
This is a newly created position, giving you the opportunity to shape the resilience function, influence strategy and make the role your own. You'll work across infrastructure, cloud, architecture and security teams to drive practical resilience improvements and embed best practice.
Main Responsibilities:
- Own disaster recovery planning, testing and recovery readiness across critical technology services.
- Lead resilience testing and simulation exercises to validate recovery capabilities and identify weaknesses.
- Monitor capacity, performance and service dependencies, proactively reducing resilience risks.
- Drive resilience improvements across AWS, Azure and on-premise infrastructure environments.
- Provide expert guidance, reporting and stakeholder engagement to support DORA, operational resilience and risk requirements.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in technology operations, infrastructure, cloud, application support, platform engineering, site reliability engineering or a related discipline.
- Practical understanding of disaster recovery, service continuity and technology resilience.
- Experience working with critical or highly available technology services.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to engage with technical and business leaders.
- Ability to communicate technology risks and findings clearly.
