Senior Strategic Pet Underwriter: Are you passionate about shaping the future of Pet Insurance? At Ageas UK, we’re looking for a Senior Strategic Pet Underwriter to lead the development and performance of our Pet Insurance portfolio.
As a Senior Strategic Pet Underwriter you’ll drive product strategy, collaborate with key partners, and act as the go‑to expert for Pet Insurance across the business. If you\’re ready to influence underwriting strategy and make a real difference in a growing market, we’d love to hear from you.
Main Responsibilities as Senior Strategic Pet Underwriter
- Lead the development of the Pet Insurance line of business, including market research, product design, and go‑to‑market strategy.
- Define underwriting criteria and pricing strategies for Pet Insurance, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder engagement.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Pet Insurance, providing insights, guidance, and education across the organisation.
- Coordinate strategic underwriting partnerships across Pet, Motor, and Household lines to support broader business objectives.
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend improvements to meet key performance indicators within governance frameworks.
- Stay informed on market trends and regulations to ensure the Pet Insurance offering remains competitive and compliant.

- Previous experience in Pet underwriting.
- Proven expertise in the pet insurance industry, with the ability to provide strategic insights and guidance.
- Strong commercial mindset balanced with critical thinking to assess opportunities and challenges.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
