Are you passionate about turning strategy into action and influencing how a newly combined organisation delivers change? At Ageas UK, we're building a new Strategic Planning team and are looking for a Lead Strategic Planning Analyst to help shape its future. This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise, challenge thinking, and influence stakeholders across the business as we build a unified approach to planning, prioritisation and performance management.
Working closely with senior leaders, you'll play a central role in supporting and leading the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process, driving alignment across Ageas, esure and Saga, and helping colleagues navigate the integration journey together. You'll also provide coaching, guidance and quality oversight to Business Stakeholders and Strategic Planning Analysts, helping to develop capability and embed best practice across the team and wider organisation.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, preparation and facilitation of Quarterly Business Review (QBR) cycles, ensuring priorities, objectives and delivery plans are aligned across multiple portfolios and business areas.
- Partner with value stream leaders and senior stakeholders to provide strategic insight, challenge assumptions and support effective decision‑making across the organisation.
- Drive enterprise planning and governance activities, ensuring clear visibility of actions, risks, dependencies, priorities and performance against strategic objectives.
- Provide leadership and support for integration planning across Ageas, esure and Saga, helping teams coordinate delivery and maintain momentum on key business initiatives.
- Champion best practice in strategic planning, OKRs, performance management and planning tools, while coaching colleagues to strengthen planning capability across the business.
Skills and experience you need
- Strong experience in strategic planning, portfolio governance, project governance or programme governance within a complex business environment.
- Essential experience using Jira, with the ability to leverage planning and collaboration tools to support effective governance, prioritisation and delivery management.
- Proven experience operating within an agile environment, with a strong understanding of agile principles, planning frameworks and ways of working.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, build alignment and partner effectively with senior leaders across the organisation.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives, insights and recommendations for decision‑makers.
- Experience supporting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), strategic planning cycles or similar enterprise performance frameworks would be advantageous.
- Insurance industry experience is preferred.
