At Ageas, we are undergoing significant transformation, and we are looking for a Data Governance Change Lead to ensure our data remains structured, governed and reusable throughout this journey. This role is critical in embedding strong data governance across migration and change initiatives, preventing fragmentation and enabling trusted, high‑quality data across the enterprise. Working across business, technology and Ageas Group stakeholders, you will ensure governance is built into change from the outset—supporting secure access, strong lineage, and scalable data foundations for analytics and AI. Operating in a complex, fast‑paced environment, you will influence delivery, challenge scope, and ensure data governance drives measurable business value.
Responsibilities
- Lead governance across complex and large-scale data migration programmes.
- Embed data governance into change lifecycle and delivery work streams.
- Define and enforce MDM/RDM standards and controls into migration activity.
- Ensure data is catalogued, classified and traceable.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and third parties to deliver practical and quality‑focused outcomes that enable effective delivery without overburdening processes with governance protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in large‑scale data migrations and transformation programmes; experience coaching and developing junior data management resources.
- Expertise in data management best practice; DAMA qualification and deep understanding of metadata management, data governance standards, data lineage, ownership and data quality best practices, and monitoring application.
- Strong stakeholder influence skills, able to challenge, guide and influence project stakeholders across complex delivery teams.
- Resilient and able to thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities and apply pragmatism to enable delivery without compromising quality.
- Innovative mindset; keen understanding of data and AI technological advancements and passion for developing automated data and AI governance processes and techniques.
