Job Overview: Ageas/esure are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer (Team Lead), with proven experience designing and architecting automation frameworks, to be a key member of a multi-disciplined, high performing Agile squad accountable for shaping and building our future. The Senior Quality Engineer (Team Lead) will analyse changes being made and ensure test coverage (manual and automation) is appropriate and written/coded to the testing standards, whilst keeping stakeholders of all levels engaged and informed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support where required, the QA Lead to drive the test participation in all the projects and teams within their area.
- Engaging in testing and tech forums as well as driving testing improvements and automation capabilities in your own squad and beyond.
- Own the development and professional growth of a small team of QA Engineers.
- Own the day‑to‑day line management of these colleagues and create a highly collaborative team working in an Agile environment.
- Supports the QA Lead to deliver improvements in testing practices.
Skills and experience:
- Strong programming expertise in one or more languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Significant experience testing large‑scale enterprise systems (front office, back office, CRM, document management, claims, digital platforms).
- Demonstrated experience in implementing end‑to‑end regression automation across distributed systems.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
