Responsibilities

  • Design, own and deliver the metadata roadmap.
  • Lead Collibra and Unity Catalog configuration, rollout, and value realisation plans.
  • Use metadata tooling and processes to enable the effective delivery of Data Governance & Data Quality outcomes with key stakeholders.
  • Promote metadata tooling purpose and value through data forums, workshops and demos to maximise output and value from business tooling investment.
  • Use metadata tooling capability to optimise and automate data governance processes and support major data migration and business integration programmes, underpinned by focused and measurable performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Metadata Expertise: Collibra specialist with strong data cataloguing and lineage knowledge, as well as strong Databricks Unity Catalog experience.
  • Delivery Leadership: Experience designing and executing against delivery roadmaps that are underpinned by purposeful outcomes and value.
  • Communication: Ability to translate technical solutions into clear and understandable business outcomes and value.
  • Governance Focus: Excellent understanding of Data Governance/Data Quality best practice and strong experience of using metadata tooling capabilities to deliver business value.
  • Coaching: Experience developing junior data governance and data quality stakeholders, and ability to set a vision and delivery path that junior members of the team can execute against.
  • Strong influencing skills that enable Data Owners and Stewards to be effective in the execution of their duties, putting metadata tooling at the heart of data governance process enablement.
