Our Counter Fraud Intelligence Team plays a key role in protecting Ageas, our customers and our partners. In this role, you will use risk-based analysis and intelligence to help our Operational Teams settle genuine claims while identifying activity that may indicate fraud. You’ll support our intelligence-led fraud strategy and help reduce financial, operational and reputational risk across the business. You’ll work with colleagues across Ageas and with external partners such as IFB, IFED and other law enforcement bodies to share insight, develop evidence and support investigations. You’ll stay up to date with legislative requirements and fraud best practice, ensuring all work meets internal standards and industry frameworks. Your work will be transparent, well-documented and aligned with our shared commitment to doing the right thing for customers every time.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage shared administrative tasks, including maintaining team in boxes and completing essential daily checks such as sanctions screening and proactive alerts.
- Own and manage an individual workload, working through a personal work queue of requests from operational teams, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, promptly and to agreed standards.
- Review and analyse external intelligence, interpreting data and reports from industry bodies and partners to identify potential fraud risks and inform decision-making.
- Monitor, investigate and manage an allocation of fraud rings, recognising patterns, escalating concerns and contributing to actions that protect Ageas from organised fraudulent activity.
- Support proactive workstreams and wider team initiatives, including monthly Fraud Watch videos, contributing to projects, and assisting with any emerging fraud-related priorities.
Skills and experience:
- Relevant industry experience required including Motor Claims or Personal Injury (PI) claims, with direct responsibility for managing claims from cradle to grave.
- Knowledge of Ageas’ approach to counter fraud including use of tools, processes and best practice.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability, with the confidence to interpret complex financial data and draw accurate, evidence-based conclusions.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to adapt messages for different audiences and produce clear, high-quality written reports.
- Skilled at building relationships and influencing others.
- Ability to challenge assumptions constructively, while maintaining integrity, objectivity and trust.
