At Ageas, we are looking for an experienced Data Quality Lead to help us improve how we manage, protect, and use our data. You will play a key role in building an AI-ready data future by creating a strong Data Quality strategy, improving ways of working, and helping teams across the business get more value from their data. This is a senior role for someone who has worked within an established enterprise Data Quality function and understands what it takes to build and improve Data Quality capabilities at scale. You will bring experience, ideas, and leadership to help shape our future approach to Data Quality.
Main Responsibilities as Data Quality Lead:
- Create and deliver our enterprise Data Quality strategy and roadmap.
- Define clear goals and plans to improve Data Quality across people, processes, and technology.
- Build and grow Data Quality capabilities that support our data strategy and AI ambitions.
- Create practical Data Quality frameworks, controls, and processes that work across a complex organisation.
- Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to influence decisions and drive better outcomes.
- Translate business needs, risks, and regulatory requirements into simple and valuable Data Quality solutions.
- Support major data transformation programmes, including migrations and system integrations, ensuring quality is built in from the start.
- Lead the adoption of Data Quality tools, including Collibra and Databricks Unity Catalog.
- Improve data monitoring, reporting, issue management, and preventative controls.
- Work closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, technology teams, and business experts to improve data quality at the source.
- Act as a senior escalation point for important Data Quality challenges.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to help teams improve their Data Quality skills and confidence.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Data Quality specialists, helping them grow and succeed.
- Build a culture where teams understand the value of good data and take ownership of its quality.
Skills and experience you need as Data Quality Lead:
- Experience working in an established enterprise Data Quality function.
- A proven track record of creating and delivering Data Quality strategies and roadmaps.
- Experience influencing senior business and technology stakeholders and building strong relationships.
- The ability to explain complex data topics in a simple and meaningful way.
- Strong experience with Data Quality frameworks, rules, monitoring, controls, and issue management.
- Experience delivering Data Quality capabilities across large organisations.
- Experience embedding Data Quality into major data migrations, integrations, and transformation programmes.
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing Data Quality professionals with different levels of experience.
- Strong knowledge of Data Governance and how it supports trusted data.
- Experience with Data Quality tooling such as Collibra and Databricks Unity Catalog.
- Experience working with modern cloud data platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
- The ability to design practical solutions that improve data quality while supporting business goals.
