Overview
External Communications Specialist role at Ageas UK. Location: Eastleigh (Chandler\’s Ford area), hybrid with fortnightly office attendance. Salary: Circa £50,000. Closing date for applications: Friday 12th September. Contract type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available. Start date: ASAP.
Ageas UK is seeking to strengthen its profile and reputation in the UK by telling our story through a range of external communication channels, particularly our corporate LinkedIn channel. The role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to align messaging and activity. There may be a requirement to attend stakeholder and partner meetings in London.
Responsibilities
- Act as the External Communications lead for the corporate LinkedIn channels, including planning, delivery, monitoring and reporting on performance.
- Act as a communications business partner, planning and delivering an annual programme of external communications activity, including integrated campaigns aligned to corporate themes.
- Collaborate with the wider External Communications team, Internal Communications, Digital team and Marketing team to ensure alignment of messages and activity.
- Plan and write award entries for the business partnered functions, aligned with corporate priorities.
- Collaborate with internal experts to identify, analyse and develop Ageas’s position on public policy and regulatory developments, shaping outcomes in the interest of the business, people, customers and reputation.
- Coordinate stakeholder briefings with internal experts and trade bodies; identify opportunities to lead on topical debates and develop thought-leadership plans to raise the profile of the Executive Team and technical experts.
- Act as the External Communications lead on Business Continuity planning and exercises. Create visual materials (e.g., PowerPoint slides) to support the Head of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability as required and aligned with the corporate brand and communication pillars.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in communications, ideally in a regulated sector.
- Experience in a corporate environment and/or working for large companies as an external communications consultant.
- Experience in running a corporate LinkedIn channel.
- Highly effective communicator with strong questioning and listening skills.
