Cloud FinOps Practitioner: Join our IT Business Management Team as we build and mature our Cloud FinOps practice from the ground up. We\’re looking for a hands-on, experienced professional to lead financial strategy across our cloud environments—driving cost optimisation, shaping governance, and implementing robust reporting tools.
You’ll work closely with engineering, finance, and project teams to build a shared understanding of cloud costs, embed FinOps practices, and support financially efficient architecture choices. This is a rare chance to shape our FinOps culture and drive real, lasting impact across the organisation.
Main Responsibilities as Cloud FinOps Practitioner:
- Lead the design and rollout of our Cloud FinOps practice, embedding processes, governance, and reporting frameworks across the organisation
- Identify and implement cloud cost-saving strategies, including rightsizing, purchasing plans, and eliminating waste
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to drive FinOps adoption and promote understanding of cloud economics
- Build and maintain dashboards that track cloud spend, forecast costs, and provide actionable insights
- Implement and enhance cloud cost management tools to automate analysis, optimisation, and reporting
Skills and experience you need as Cloud FinOps Practitioner:
- Proven success in establishing Cloud FinOps practices from the ground up, embedding financial accountability across cloud operations – preferably within the Financial Services Sector
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, with strong proficiency in pricing models, native cost tools, and optimization techniques
- Delivered impactful cost-saving initiatives by applying FinOps principles in multi-cloud, multi-team environments
- Experienced in project management, driving FinOps implementations through structured planning, coordination, and execution
- Skilled in data analysis and dashboard development to support cloud spend visibility, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
- Strong collaborator and communicator with automation experience (Python, Terraform) and understanding of containerized cost management; familiarity with Agile project delivery
