We’re looking for Senior and experienced Claims Technical Professionals who understand the challenges our customers and teams face when dealing with complex property claims. In this role, you'll ensure that every customer receives the guidance, expertise, and reassurance they need to navigate the claims process smoothly. You will collaborate with specialists, uphold our high standards, and work with integrity to deliver fair resolutions—because at Ageas, doing right by our customers is what matters most.

The Home Claims Technical Expert will ideally have field experience validating and managing claims reinstatement for complex peril such as Escape of water, Fire and subsidence (desired) from an adjusting, surveying or insurer background. As a Home Technical Expert, you will leverage your excellent technical and stakeholder management skills to drive improvement of Ageas’ home claims performance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Advanced technical claims handling in accordance with policy cover, legal liability, departmental fraud, ABI and FCA Guidelines.
- To provide your customers and colleagues with a consistent high-quality service so they can deliver in line with strategy and Ageas Best Practice.
- Ability to interpret and challenge scopes of works and tenders.
- Awareness of Construction Damage Management and building regulations plus Party Wall Act understanding.
- Identify and address supplier performance issues case-by-case and drive organic behavioural improvement in conjunction with the Supplier Relationship Managers.
Skills and Experience:
- Member of or working towards CII, CIOB, RICS professional qualifications, or a desire to do so unless you possess exceptional property claims experience.
- Experience of handling complex claims in the insurance market.
- Strong building pathology knowledge including SoRs, tender exercises and JCT contract experience.
- Make good judgements throughout the claims journey and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the capability to write complex letters, reports and recommendations in line with company standards.
