Payroll Team Leader: Lead and deliver end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant monthly payroll. Manage and support a small team, provide hands-on expertise across the full payroll cycle, and act as a trusted partner to HR and Finance. Drive continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of data integrity, controls and regulatory compliance. IRIS Cascade experience is essential for this role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver end-to-end payroll processing for employees and pensioners
- Validate gross-to-net calculations and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Administer statutory and occupational payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, ShPP, SAP)
- Manage pension auto enrolment, contributions and provider submissions
- Oversee payrolling of benefits in kind, ensuring accurate tax treatment
- Maintain payroll data and system integrity within IRIS Cascade
- Complete month-end reconciliations and ensure accurate financial postings
- Submit RTI filings (FPS/EPS) and support year-end activities
