Are you looking for a meaningful way to connect with others and make a real difference in someone’s life? Become a Digital Friend Volunteer and help open up the online world for older adults who are homebound or feeling isolated. Many people aged 60+ are missing out on the opportunities that come with being online, but with your support, we can change that.
As a volunteer with Age Well East, you’ll help older clients build essential digital skills: turning on a laptop, adjusting settings, browsing the internet, booking appointments, shopping online, and enjoying video calls with family and friends. You don’t need to be a technical expert. What matters most is your ability to listen, be patient and kind, and enjoy helping others grow in confidence.
What We Provide:
- Full training to help you feel confident in your role.
- A dedicated Friendship Coordinator to support you throughout your volunteering journey.
- All DBS checks arranged and paid for by Age Well East.
Requirements:
- Willing to provide two character references.
- Enhanced DBS check covered by Age Well East.
