Role Overview
Age UK is recruiting a Shop Supervisor to join their retail team in Glossop.
The role supports the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager, delivering excellent retail service and ensuring customers have a great experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with sales, stock rotation, organising displays and store tidying to maximise sales and profits.
- Depute for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in their absence.
- Handle and lift stock up to 10 kg, work 14 hours across a 7‑day week on a rota basis, including Saturdays and Sundays.
- Maintain a professional and customer‑focused environment reflecting Age UK’s core values.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in a customer‑facing retail role.
- Experience with cash handling.
- Ability to lift and carry stock up to 10 kg.
- Team working skills and the ability to work independently when needed.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural differences, gender issues, and commitment to equality.
- Flexible approach to work, including additional days to cover holidays and sickness and participation in events outside normal shop hours.
