Are you looking for a role that makes a real difference? We're looking for someone to join our team to support older adults in Cherwell and those within the Horton General Hospital, to stay healthy and independent. This role is about working with people - building trust, encouraging participation, and supporting wellbeing. You'll lead group exercise sessions as part of a community falls prevention programme, helping participants improve their strength, balance, and confidence. Along with working in collaboration with healthcare staff, to provide identified patients with safe, appropriate and effective exercise, within the Horton General Hospital.
Location: Community and Horton Hospital based (Cherwell) Monday - Bicester Tuesday & Wednesday - Horton General Hospital, Banbury. Thursday - Kidlington & Deddington
Hours: 28 hours a week (Monday - Thursday)
Hourly rate: £14.14 - £15.14

Main Duties:
- Responsible for and delivery of falls prevention classes and education, both in community and hospital settings.
- Triaging clients, in person and on the phone, to ensure they are signposted and enrolled to the most appropriate intervention.
- Working closely with clients to maintain attendance, conducting baseline and completion assessments, alongside providing advice and signposting.
- Collate and maintain accurate participant, attendance, and outcome records in accordance with organisation and funders requirements.
- Ensure all activities and duties comply with hospital and charity health, safety and safeguarding guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the continued development of a vibrant, engaging, and successful physical activity service.

Qualifications/Education/Training:
Essential Requirements:
- Education ensuring good standard of written and spoken English.
- Recognised Level 2 exercise delivery qualification.
Desirable Requirements:
- OTAGO / Postural Stability Instructor (PSI) training course (Later Life Training)
- Recognised 3 exercise delivery qualification.
- First Aid Qualification
Relevant experience:
Essential Requirements:
- Providing 1:1 and/or group support to individuals, evidencing a sustained positive change in knowledge and behaviour.
- Planning and managing own workload, to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience of delivering physical activity services.
- Experience of working in the voluntary sector and/or working with older people.
- Experience of monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on service delivery and outcomes.
Relevant knowledge/skills:

- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and interact effectively.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office and experience in using databases.
