Age UK Norfolk provides information and advice on issues that affect older people, their families, carers and friends through their website, drop-in and telephone helpline. Triage Support volunteers will deal with live calls and messages through the helpline which will involve clients wanting information about Age UK Norfolk services but also those seeking information and advice across the partnership for Norfolk.

The amount of training involved means this is a role that requires commitment and with the experience gained could lead to further training and development. This is an ideal and rewarding role for someone who has background knowledge in Information and Advice, Social Care, Public Services and Wellbeing.

Time commitment: Flexible to suit the volunteer and can work between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Ideally a minimum of 3 hours per week. Desks will remain socially distant.

About the organisation: Age UK Norfolk is an independent, local charity. They have 75 years’ experience of supporting older people and their families living in Norfolk. They raise their own funds and fundraise locally to provide vital services across the county. Their relationship with other Age UK charities allows them to share knowledge and expertise, and to actively promote the wellbeing of older people through collective national and local campaigning. They are proud to be making Norfolk a great place to grow older.
