We are actively looking for a Trustee with Income Generation experience to join Age UK MST's Board. You'll play a crucial role in supporting decisions about our future income streams and service development, helping to ensure the services people depend on have the longevity they deserve.
What difference will you make?
Your skills will be invaluable in strengthening Age UK Maidstone, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge’s income streams and broader governance. You’ll be a key player in helping to support our financial longevity, ensuring we are prioritising the right income streams to ensure we can achieve our future ambitions whilst also maintaining the services that people in our communities depend on.
You’ll also play a crucial role in developing new services and opportunities which meet briefs from funders and the needs of individuals not already supported through our services - allowing us to address gaps in provision in a thoughtful and pro‑active manner.
Ultimately, the difference you’ll make is in supporting crucial services for beneficiaries. Services which receive this kind of feedback:
“Thank you so much for your help recently with the blue badge application form; the blue badge arrived today, we are so pleased. The blue badge will help mum so much.”
“Excellent service. Approachable. Professional. Very helpful. It’s reassuring to know that there’s someone to ask for guidance and help.”
“...she was lovely, extremely helpful, couldn’t have done more for us. Please pass on our thanks and tell her how grateful we are. Thank you.”
If you feel inspired to have this kind of impact in the lives of others, then this is a role which will allow you to do that.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who has experience in an income generation environment, with demonstrable experience of developing new revenue streams for organisations. This may also include experience in supporting service design and development to meet additional needs not currently serviced by the organisation.
We believe that anyone with experience in income generation will have skills which will be valuable to our organisation, but are particularly keen to welcome applications from people who have held income generation roles within the not‑for‑profit space.
Being able to ask thoughtful questions which prompt discussion about opportunities whilst also ensuring the Board and wider Senior Leadership Team have access to trusted insight when developing new opportunities for the organisation is crucial.
You should feel comfortable working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across our organisation, and may need to work in a supportive and approachable way with our services and fundraising teams.
If you are passionate about developing new income streams which support organisational sustainability, then we would love to hear from you!
