Salary: £12.30 per hour

Hours: Flexible hours to suit between Monday to Friday 9am‑5pm. Average working hours are between 16 and 20 per week

About the role

Would you like to make a difference in the lives of older people? Our Support At Home service works with customers in their own homes, it’s a rewarding role and through practical and emotional support, assists older people in remaining active, independent, and connected to their local community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regular visits to customers in their homes, ensuring the service meets the customer’s needs.
  • Assist with cleaning, laundry, shopping, collecting prescriptions or providing emotional support.
  • Maintain a reliable and caring approach, supporting older people to stay active and independent.
  • Organise and plan visits efficiently, with flexible scheduling according to geographical location.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Caring, compassionate, reliable, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of older people.
  • Self‑motivated, committed, flexible, and good organisational skills.
  • Full driving licence, business car insurance, and an enhanced DBS check.
  • No personal care duties involved in this role.
  • Physical ability to climb stairs, carry shopping bags, and manage household items such as a vacuum cleaner.
  • Not eligible for UK Visa Sponsorship – applicant must have a pre‑existing Right to Work in the UK.
  • Commitment to a minimum availability of 16 hours per week as part of a flexible zero‑hours contract.
