As a Liaison Officer, you will visit clients in their homes and establishments to ensure their ongoing support needs are being met by the service and complete financial checks.
Main duties of the job
As a Liaison Officer, you will also deliver our Financial Literacy programme to clients across Warwickshire, supporting them with their financial affairs. Thisis an extremely rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Since the role involves daily travel across Coventry and regular travel across Warwickshire, applicants must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for the purposes of work.

Job responsibilities
Car driver and full driving license is essential criteria for this role.
- To visit clients in their home to check on their welfare, record and feedback to caseworkers anyupdates and/or concerns.
- Check receipts of clients expenditure where appropriate, whilst on visits.
- To identify and report back any changes to the clients care or support needs. Including identifying iffurther funds may be needed by the client to purchase items for themselves.
- To consider the clients best interests at all times as outline in the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- To complete detailed notes of each visit and input onto the client database.
- Observing and adhering to safeguarding procedures, reporting any concerns in a timely manner(training will be provided).
- Attend team and supervision meetings.
- To adhere to all relevant organisation policy with particular reference to health and safety, GDPRand confidentiality.
- To comply with all relevant legislation.
- To undertake appropriate training and personal development as required for the role.
- Facilitate the delivery of the Financial Literacy programme, ensuring that the required stages are completed in line with the programme structure.
- Escalate non-compliance of Financial Literacy programme to the Team Leader.
- To portray a positive image of the organisation both internally and externally.
- Ability to travel independently (driving license and car for work purposes).
- To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required, consistent with the nature and gradeof the post.
Person Specification
Experience
- Experience of working with a range of diverse people and communities.
- Knowledge of The Mental Capacity Act 2015 & The Care Act 2014.
- Understanding of Safeguarding.
Skills and Abilities
- Good computer literacy β ability to use basic packages.. Experience and use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to input and maintain accurate data records.
- Effective organisational skills with good time management.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to actively listen and empathise with people, to provide person-centered support in a non-judgmental way.
- Able to get along with people from all backgrounds and communities, respecting lifestyles and diversity.

Qualifications
- Travel is required across Coventry & Warwickshire daily. Therefore, the candidate must have a full driving license and have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.
